Lauren's Saturday Sketch

This is last Saturday's Sketch actually!

OOPS! At least I got it done. It only took me an entire morning to do this one. Well I had several other animals colored and cut out to go with it but it just seemed to muck it up too bad. It is a pop out card. See how the lady and the horse are popped out away from the card base. Cool ha? I love this sketch.

So anyway.... First I must apologize for the crummy photo. The shadows are really bad.

These images are from one of my favorite sets from My Favorite Things, Punny Farm. When I stamp sometimes Tyler likes to color and he always asks for the lady with the buckets. And the horse has to be stealing the grain out of her bucket! So I had to put it on a card finally. I masked the horses head to stamp the bucket. I bent the horses neck downward a little bit and changed the way the bucket hung from the lady's hand by masking it and stamping it separately after I stamped the lady. Clear as mud? As you can see by the terrible shadows the chickens and cat are set up on 3D-Dots.

Everything was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with odorless thinner. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey, Cupcake. The images were stamped on Papertrey Ink Stampers Select (of course) and the base card is PTI Summer Sunrise.

Now that I am looking at this card again I think I need to change the ribbon and add a sentiment to the front. I was going to put it inside. HMMMM Have to revisit this in a couple of days. Sometimes my eyes need a break from a card before I can see what it really needs.

I will be sending this card to my Aunt Lorraine for her Birthday in June. Hi Auntie! My Aunt is like an unwanted animal magnet. If there is an unwanted or abandoned animal with in a 50 mile radius it will end up at my Aunt's house, no questions asked. Dogs, horses, even a sick baby buffalo. Yes a buffalo! She even took care of a pair of wild baby squirrels until they were old enough to go back into the woods. I will tell you one thing, these animals could not end up in a better place. She isn't a vet or anything just has a huge heart for animals.

Ok now I need to go figure out what else needs to be done to this card so I can send it.

Hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!

Awesome card. I love the little animals standing out from the card...and the horse following the pail!!! It's cool how the lighting made shadows too.....like in real life. Joan
