2 down, 1 to go

I needed to make 3 cards for Graduations that we were invited to this year. We will not be making it to any of them but I want to make sure I get cards to the happy Graduates.

So this is the card for the 2 boys. I made a tri-fold kind of card and cut the right panel at an angle from the inner corner to the outside edge. Folded in, this will make a spot for the Grads favorite part.... The CASH!!! I ran some adhesive along the bottom to secure it and keep the moola from falling out.

The front was covered with patterned paper from g.c.d. studios called Planes and Trains. I picked up an 8x8 pad of this paper at CKC. I also got another 8x8 pad by them called Whoop De Doo. Don't you just love that name? That paper has a awesome texture to it. The best part of the paper is that it is double sided. Got to love the coordinating paper on the back thing. I Love It!!!!

Sorry back to the card. The bottom is the front of the paper and the top is the back. The circles that I punched out were also from the same piece of paper. One 8x8 sheet is all I used for both cards. Cool ha?

All of the stamping was done with Versa Mark and heat embossed with white powder. The stamps were all from Studio G, $1 sets. Three different sets I think. The '08 are actually hanging from the ribbon and the Class of circle is popped up on 3D dots. The ribbon was glued to the front and back and ties at the side. Now that I am looking at it on the computer I might want to get rid of the tie part. I think it might look better with out the tie. I always do that! Get a card all loaded on the blog and then see something that I should change. Oh well.

I have been playing with Photoshop tonight working on a watermark so that I do not have to keep typing the same thing over and over. I really like the frame thing on these cards. Makes them look rather professional, no?
ETA: I just wrapped the ribbon to the inside and I like it much better. Even adds a nice accent to the inside.

This is cute. I like how you have the year coming down on the ribbon. Joan
