Little Monkey, Little Fish

Ok, first to the little monkey. This card is for Lauren's Saturday Sketch. Actually the image started out being for Beates weekend sketch but I just couldn't pull it together. I'm going to attempt that one again tonight. So back to the monkey.... This image is from CC Designs. These little monkeys are so cute. I actually colored the monkey with regular old Crayola colored pencils and used my copic colorless blender to even out the color. I really wanted some flocking but haven't found any yet. My LSS is getting it in soon. I'm very excited to try it. The dots are all from the Papertrey Ink Polka Dot set. That set is going to get some heavy use. I LUV LUV LUV IT! The paper is PTI Select, Bazill and a piece of something from my scrap basket.

This card will be going to my brother this week. He is doing well at the Spinal Center in Atlanta. Hasn't started doing a lot of PT yet but they have got him set up with his own wheelchair and a new brace that allows him to sit up. They are working on a few things with him, at least keeping him moving.

Now for the little fish. Tyler started swim lessons on Friday. His preschool class goes to the YMCA on Fridays. They have a swim lesson and then get to play in the big gym for a while. He had a blast. He jumped into the water faster than some of the older kids. Even off of the diving platform. This kid has no fear. I'm going to try to go again this Friday to get some better pictures. I took this one with my cell phone camera, not bad for a phone though. I really want to catch him jumping off of that diving platform.

That is it for now. Jason and I are going shopping for Tyler's birthday presents. Don't know what we are going to get for him yet but I'm sure we will come up with something cool.
