A B-Day Card

First a little update on Tim. I talked to him last night and he had been able to move his right foot a tiny bit. This is great news. He was also able to get outside yesterday for a few minutes. They have been doing PT everyday for about an 1 1/2 hours or so. Word from the doctors is about the same. It can take up to two months to start seeing much if any improvement and it will be a year or so before he has healed as much as he can. Still a long road ahead but they expect him to be out of the center and into an out-patient rehab setting in early April.

Ok on to my card for today. This is a Birthday card for Tyler. He will be 3 years old tomorrow. Oh how time flies. And so does this little monkey from CC Designs, Monkey Love. I stamped the monkey with StazOn onto PTI Select and colored him with, well.... crayola colored pencils. I used my Copic colorless blender to blend the colors a little. I like the way they don't blend all the way. It keeps him looking a bit fuzzy. I cut the monkey out and off of his tree branch. I found these balloons in my stash and used them to send the little monkey up in to the sky. It reminds me of the Curious George movie when George and the Man in the Yellow Hat fly over the city with balloons.
Just a simple, colorful and fun card for a 3 year old who will rip it to shreds within 2 minutes. At least I thought to take the photos before I gave it to him. :)

Paper: Bazzill, PTI Select, Around the Block, some cloud paper from the stash
