Preschool, Rehab and PTI

So today was the first day that my son visited his preschool. He has gone to daycare a few mornings a week since he was a year old, just to be able to play with other kids his age. The daycare that he goes to is for infants and toddlers and then they also have a preschool upstairs. Today was his first day "upstairs with the BIG kids". It was supposed to be for a few minutes to play and visit but when it came time to leave, Ty didn't want to. He didn't even want to leave when I picked him up. Looks like this will be an easy transition.

My brother left the hospital today around 1:00 and was taken by air-ambulance to Atlanta for his rehab. I haven't heard from him yet but I hoping to hear from him when he is settled in at the center.

Hopefully he will regain mobility and feeling in his lower half. It is going to take a lot of time and hard work on his part before we will know anything. We have been told that it could take a couple of months before his spinal cord has begun to heal enough to show any improvement and it could take up to 2 years or more for it to heal as completely as it can.

Ok, on with the stamping! I've got a couple more Papertrey Ink projects. The first one uses the Women of Life set. I immediately thought of sunflowers when I saw this set. I love, love, love these flowers. Melissa did an awesome job of showing off her new set during the PTI teaser days. I loved each and every one of her projects.

This is just a very simply card. Nothing fancy but I like it a lot. I stamped just the Thank You, so that I can give it to anyone or stamp the additional name later. I used the Papertrey Ink Perfect Match Spring Moss card stock and ink on this card.

This last project is one that was really quick. I wanted to use the Making Memories clear frames but they are very hard to find, so.... I made my own frame. I used chipboard and cut the frame about the same size as the MM frame, maybe just a bit wider. I pained it white with acrylic paint. Just before it dried completely I sanded the frame to give it an old barn board look. Diagonal sanding in the corners helped make it look even more like boards. The stamped images are all from the Papertry Out on a Limb set. It is the perfect size for a nightstand or cluttered stamping desk :) Oh, and the little cutie in the picture was Ty when he was about a year old.
I'll try not to be so long winded next time. Sorry Dad. (He is the only person that I know reads this silly thing )

Such pretty projects and you're so clever to make your own frame!
