Bottoms Up!

This is not a wordy post. My mind is somewhere else right now, but I have a card done and edited so here it goes.

I saw this card and thought that idea would also work with the duck from Pond Life. I made my duck a Mallard (sort of). I just inked the duck's head one color, wiped the ink off of the bill and inked with another color. I inked and stamped the body after the head was already on the paper. The wing bar was done the same as the head. Inked a little blue and the brown around it. I used an Inkssentials white pen for the highlights.

I cut a tiny slit in the water ripple and made the duck's bottom stick up through.

I'm not wild about the colors I chose to put together but I had to use this duck. He has been sitting on my desk for a month now and he really needed a card. I do like the way the mallard turn out. Just wish I had planned the colors a little better. Maybe I will try again later. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!
