Little Peeps!

This card is for the My Favorite Things Sketch over at SCS. Something just hit me today when I looked at the sketch.... chickens, I need to use the chickens from Punny Farm. I had never used them before and it was high time that I did. I wanted the card to be square like the sketch but also wanted it to fit in a normal card envelope so it is 4 1/4" square. The base card is Bazzill as is the yellow. The green gingham is from a Provo Craft pad of paper that has been kicking around here forever. The image is stamped on PTI Select with StazOn, colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I have been using these pencils so much lately that I don't know what to do with a solid stamp. I kind of got lost last night trying to stamp with some PTI stamps. Awful I know!

The regular circles and the two big scalloped circles were all cut with nesties. The smaller yellow flower in the top left corner is a cuttlebug die. That is about it really. It is a simple card and yet it took me all morning to do it! hmmm....

Oh, the inside has the "Just chicken up on you" sentiment from Punny Farm.

I thought that Spring might be almost here yesterday. I was outside with Tyler for a few minutes and we saw crocus and daffodils coming up in the gardens and lawn. Then we heard a flock of geese, that just made it feel even more like spring. SCREECHING HALT... we are supposed to get 4 - 6 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow! And the best part is... it might be even more than that! Oh well, at least it will melt quickly.
