Hope you find all your eggs!

Happy Easter.

I made a quick card for Easter with a wicked cute Whipper Snapper Designs stamp by Anna Wight. She has some very cute unmounted sets out with WSD now as well. This is the Shy Bunny stamp but I thought it looked like he was looking for Easter eggs. I used Prismacolor pencils and OMS to color the image. I got some fun flock to play with at my LSS yesterday. It was perfect for the bunny. That stuff is very cool. I can't wait to get more colors. The best part is that one jar will last a very long time. Unless you spill it all on the floor like I did yesterday, DUH! Nothing else to crazy on this card. Just simple.
ETA: The colors on this card are not this bright and pink IRL. The photo is not great. :( Darn photo software.

Here is a quick pic of Tyler and his Easter wheelbarrow.
I thought it made a cute basket. He has wheeled it all over the house this morning looking for eggs. Too cold to go look for the ones outside yet. Soon though, before the neighbor's dogs find them and eat the candy inside. They have been sniffing around all morning.

A Big Thank You

This card was done with Beate's Weekend Sketch from last Friday. I am trying to keep spring like thoughts even though we keep getting dumped on with snow. So I used Anna's Framed Tulip from Whipper Snapper Designs. I love this tulip. I really want to try it all by itself on a card very soon.

I stamped the image with Versa Fine Onyx, this seams to work really well with the Tombow markers that I used to color it. The tag is a 3/4" square punch and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Mixed Messages.
I have been playing with my photo software and I came up with a little watermark design. Nothing fancy but I kind of like it. I kind of liked my "Please Play Nice" idea so I carried that over into my watermark as well. The only thing I can not find the the little copywrite symbol. My program is so ancient that it may not even be available there. I'll keep playing. I'd be happy with any suggestions you might have.

To the Big Thank You portion of my post. I wanted to say a most heartfelt Thank You to everyone who has taken the time to leave a comment here on my new blog and over at SCS. I truly appreciate all of the kind words and encouragement that you have given me. It means so much coming from some of the people who's blogs inspire me on a daily basis.

Anna's Potted Bunny

This card is for the Sketch Challege at SCS. I really wanted to use Anna's Bunny, but needed to practice my Copic skills for the plant pot. I think I got it. I used Chrome Orange (YR04) and picked up some of the Dark Brown (E47) where I needed the shaded spots. I'm happy with the results.

The bunny was cut out with a plain circle nestability and framed with a scalloped circle. I cut another scalloped nestablility out of brown and popped up the bunny layer with 3D tape. The "Hoppy Easter" stamp I think is a Hampton Arts $1 stamp. The background was embossed with a cuttlebug folder and a few of the circles were colored with a Tombow. I used a Tombow for the bunny and the grass too.

Another gloomy day here, with more YUK coming this afternoon and tongiht. At least the card looks like spring. Im off to play indoor golf with Tyler. It ends up being an odd combination of hockey, football and soccer before we are done. Kind of like full contact golf.

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge - Meet Pete

This is the first time I have done Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I had fun with my little Whipper Snapper bird, Pete. I colored his branch and leaves with my new Tombow markers. I only got a few colors to try out but I think I will like them a lot. I didn't have blue or brown Tombows so I colored Pete with colored pencil and used my clear copic to blend the colors a bit. It worked ok, but I can't wait to get these colors in Tombows and try again. I stamped and colored just the leaves a couple extra times to extend the branch and add the to the sentiment. The sentiment is from PaperTreyInk's Green Thumb set.

I love Pete's nest. Total accident! I had a bunch of tiny paper shavings from trimming the brown border. They were so thin that they were curling when they came off the paper cutter. I twisted a stack of them together and formed a circle, then cut some more strips on purpose to wrap in and around the circle. Eventually it started to resemble a nest. I added a strip of the dark brown just for some contrast.
Thanks for checking out Pete.
