PTI Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

For a change I actually remembered the PTI Blog Hop this month.
The challenge this time around was to use the color yellow. You can read all about it here. Then go check out the rest of the hop over here.

I decided to use my newest PTI set A Day at the Beach. I also used Polka Dot Basics for the background. I tore, crumpled up and then smoothed out a piece of kraft paper for my "sand dune". The umbrella was cut out and mounted with 3-D foam. I couldn't decide if I like the Melon Berry or the Spring Rain better... so I did both.

I LOVE the "life is good" sentiment with this set. Worked perfectly for a couple of simple summery cards.

Enjoy the rest of the blog hop and thanks for hopping by here!

Papertrey Blog Hop

This month the Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge was to make Birthday cards. You can read more about the Hop here and then come to the forum to check out everyone's cards and creations.

So here is mine. I actually have made this card in several different colors but since I only just now (7:30 pm) realized that this is the 25th of the month, I only had time to edit one. But trust me it looks very nice with Plum Pudding as well. So there you have it, quick, easy to make tons of and best of all it can be for anyone depending on what color you use.

Have a great time hopping around tonight and thanks for hopping by here.

Card specs:
Stamps: PTI Text Boxed & Birthday Basics
Ink: PTI Ocean Tides, CTMH White Daisy
Paper and ribbon: all Papertrey Ink

Papertrey Polka Dot Blog Hop

Yea, it is time for another PTI Blog Hop. This month was all about Polka Dots.

As you can see I put just a few polka dots on my card. I used Polka Dot Basics. Can I just tell you how much I love using that set with the Rock-a-blocks. Those blocks make lining up these dots sooooo easy. The main image and Thank You sentiment is from Women of Life.

Sorry this is so short but I know you have a ton of other blogs to hop to and I need to get some cream cheese frosting made for some (get this) sweet potato cupcakes. If the cakes are half as good as the batter I think I will be eating a ton of these babies. I will let you know how they come out.

Thanks for stopping in. Make sure you check out the other blogs in the hop tonight. They will all be listed in the PTI Forum.

Papertey Blog Hop

Welcome to the Papertrey Ink August Blog Hop.

This months challenge was to make a project using a CD case. So I was not super creative but I do love what I came up with. This is Papertrey travel Checkers and Tic-Tac-Toe.

I used the Guidelines grid to create my checkerboard on Stampers Select and sponged Spring Moss into alternating squares.

I used my Scor-pal to create an insert and decorated it with the polkadots from Rustic Branches. I also used Simple Alphabet to spell out Papertrey Checkers along the spine. I adhered the board to the insert and used glue dots to keep everything attached to the case.

The tic-tac-toe board is just drawn onto Stampers Select with a Copic marker and adhered to another insert, made to fit the back of the case. This side has Papertrey Tic-tac-toe on the spine.

The large flowers from Floral Frenzy were stamped in Lemon Tart and Summer Sunrise onto Shrinky Dink material and shrunk with my heat tool. They came out the perfect size. I punched 5/8" circles from Stampers Select and glued to the bottoms of the flowers then stuck small squares of EZ Mount (the stuff you uses to make red rubber stamps usable with acrylic block, KWIM?) to the paper backing. This way the game pieces stick nicely to the cd case during your game and do not slide all around. And when you are done playing all of the pieces store in the case.

Wouldn't these bees and ladybugs make adorable game pieces?

Hope you enjoy the rest of the blog hop. You can see all of the entries and chat in the PTI forum here. Thanks for visiting!

PTI Blog Hop

It's the 25th. That means it is Papertrey Blog Hop time. You can check out the PTI forum to get the list of other blogs to hop on over to and to get in on the chat.

So this month the challenge was to use vellum. PTI just came out with two cool new lines of vellum. I of course did not order those vellums on release night. DUH! Honestly I forgot, I was half asleep. I had some stuff laying around though and will have to order the new stuff from PTI later.

Here is what I came up with. Very simple. I used Melissa's new set Floral Frenzy. Stamped the sunflower with Summer Sunrise onto the vellum and punched the centers from a piece of the Chocolate Remix paper. I attached the vellum with some 3-D dots under the flower centers. I added a bit of vellum adhesive to the corners just so they would not flip up.

The stem and leaves were stamped onto the card base, made from Lemon Tart. I did the fold on the 4 1/4" side of this card for something a little different. The sentiment was stamped with Burnt Umber/Dark Chocolate (depending on the version you have).
That is it. Super simple but I love it. It is easy to make a cute card with you have such a great set of stamps to use.

Make sure to check out all of the other blogs in the hop.

PTI Blog Hop

Yea, its PTI blog hop time again. Thanks for visiting my little piece of the www.

This month's challenge was to use score lines on your creation. You can get all of the details on the hop and get the links to other bloggers at the PTI forum.

My card uses Bitty Baby Blessings, that I WON last release (yea, still have not come down from that one).

I used my new Scor-pal (yea!!! I love it!!!!) to score 1/4" lines on the Aqua Mist paper and then stamped the elephant with Versa Mark. Heat embossed with a clear powder and then cut him out. I also used the Scor-pal to create the same pattern only bigger (1/2") on the Lemon Tart square, then cut it with a nestie.

That is where the ideas ran out. I struggled all morning to get this card the way I wanted it and after destroying several pieces of cardstock trying different things I just decided that simple and done was better then not finished at all. So a couple of simple score lines to break up the Polka Dots, an embossed sentiment on the reverse side of some PTI Aqua Mist Ribbon, a few buttons and there you have it.

Short and sweet, I know you have a ton more blogs to visit tonight. Enjoy! See you in the forum later tonight.
