Like the snowman card I made a few weeks ago with a Beate sketch this one is on the larger side as well, 5 1/2 square. (BTW, thank you to everyone for such wonderful comments on that card both here and at SCS, you sure do know how to make a girl feel good.)
I own only a few sets of SU stamps but I do have two that go together beautifully. Lovely as a Tree and Noble Deer (retired now). I love all of the evergreen stamps in these two sets. You can just barely see the branch from Noble Deer stamped onto the brown base. It shows up much better IRL. Then smallest branch from Lovely as a Tree on the green and the tall tree on the top layer. I sponged a bit around all of the layers and all over the tree image with a very lightly inked sponge, to give it a nice speckled look.I very rarely remember to do anything with the inside of a card but with a dark base like this you have to make a space for writing on the inside. So....
I stamped the same large branch as on the front with the Tombows again and used a sentiment from PTI Birthday Basics. That is my go to Birthday Stamp set for sayings and "happy birthday" in different fonts. Love it. That is what I used on the front also.
Thanks for stopping by today. Maybe I will get a little sneak peak of a new CC Designs stamp on here this weekend or sooner, he-he, this is so much fun.
