Little Sailor

This is a card I made for my cousin and his wife who had a baby boy earlier this week.

The stamps are PTI Bitty Baby Blessings and the paper is from a K & Company Hopscotch Pad.

The little numbers on the sails are for the date he was born. The only problem was when I took the photo I didn't know the day yet, so I photo-shopped the 18 in. Good thing I didn't stamp it because I was off by 2 days. The other numbers (and the correct one now) were stamped with Simple Alphabet.

I thought the twine look rather nautical, but my knot tying is awful so a bow-like thing will have to do. I also used the twine for the sail masts. The boats were all paper pieced and mounted with 3-D dots. The layout was based on this sketch I saw at Page Plans. This site has a TON of great sketches. A good place to start when the mojo is low.

Hope you have a great night. Thanks for stopping by.
